Gratitude Series: Dogwood Health Trust
In the Gratitude Series, we will be highlighting and thanking organizations that have played key roles in helping us make a tangible difference throughout North Carolina.
Since 2019, myFutureNC has made immense strides in increasing educational equity and access across North Carolina, fighting to ensure that 2 million North Carolinians attain postsecondary degrees or high-quality credentials by 2030 through our four-pronged approach
- Advocate for high-quality learning from an early age, building academic readiness and preparing students for future success,
- Supporting college and career readiness to help students navigate the transition to postsecondary education, including applying for financial assistance,
- Helping high school graduates and adult learners engage with and complete their postsecondary education, and
- Working to align the skills of college graduates with the needs of North Carolina employees through initiatives like increasing access to high-value credentials.
Our work creates generational prosperity throughout North Carolina, transforming lives, schools, and communities. However, our impact would not have been possible without the dedicated
support and generosity of our benefactors.
In this gratitude series, we will be highlighting and thanking organizations that have played key roles in helping us make a tangible difference throughout North Carolina. The first organization we are highlighting is the Dogwood Health Trust. We are tremendously grateful for the steadfast support and kindness of the Dogwood Health Trust, an organization committed to dramatically improving the health and well-being of all people and communities of Western North Carolina. The trust has been instrumental in funding our Local Educational Attainment Collaboratives within their 18 county service area in western North Carolina. These local collaboratives play a critical role in helping us reach the 2 million by 2030 goal by establishing local educational attainment goals, identifying strategies and priorities to meet these goals, and working as partners of myFutureNC.
