Workforce Act of 2026

A Coordinated Agenda for Talent and Opportunity

The Workforce Act of 2026 outlines a coordinated vision for modernizing how North Carolinians move from education to career. This year's state budget advances many of the Act's four key priorities by investing in work-based learning, career navigation, seamless education pathways, and employer-valued credentials—creating clearer, faster routes to completion and career success.

myFutureNC continues to work alongside leaders across education, business, workforce, philanthropy, and government to advance these priorities. State investments in initiatives such as Propel NC, Boost, NC College Connect, NC Works, and need-based scholarships strengthen North Carolina's talent pipeline and help more learners connect to high-demand careers.

The Workforce Act of 2026 focuses on one simple goal: move people faster from learning to good jobs. It does that by scaling what already works—four proven strategies that employers use, students understand, and NC can deliver.
