Eric C. Davis

Chair, NC State Board of Education

Davis holds a bachelor of science degree with honors from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York. He is currently a professional engineer in North Carolina. He was previously a combat engineer officer and an Airborne Ranger in the US Army. Davis has served as chair of the City of Charlotte Privatization/ Competition Advisory Committee, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Bond Oversight Committee and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education. In addition, he has served on numerous boards such as the US Green Building Advisory Council Charlotte Chapter and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Superintendent’s Standards Review Committee. Davis is a Charlotte native who attended Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. He is married to wife, Adrienne, and has two daughters.
