Margaret Turlington joined the Anonymous Trust in the fall of  2010. The first program started by the Simple Gifts Fund is a scholarship for students who graduate from a school in Sampson County. We currently have over sixty college scholars and alumni. Over the last eleven years, Margaret has learned so much about rural college access, award displacement, and barriers to college success.

She also works with teacher fellowship and grant programs in Sampson County and with the Anonymous Trust Team on other educational opportunities in rural eastern NC.

She is a member of the National Scholarship Providers Association, NACAC Rural-Small Town Special Interest Group, North Carolina Grant Makers Association, and is a CPA. Margaret earned a B.S. in accounting from Wake Forest University.
