Lisa Convery-López serves as the Director of Finance and Operations. She leads the organization’s administrative efforts. Her focus is on daily fiscal operations, the development and monitoring of the annual budget, audit oversight, human resources, payroll administration, risk management and strategic planning. She also supports the organization’s development and sustainability by collaborating on fundraising endeavors. Previously, Lisa was the Vice President of Finance & Contract Management for a NYC-based social service organization dedicated to addressing the social determinants of health and reducing the barriers to accessing quality health care.
Lisa has nearly 25 years of experience across private, public, and non-profit sectors in finance and administration. She has successfully held senior management finance positions for notable municipalities such as New York City, Beverly Hills, California and San Raymundo, Guatemala.
Lisa holds a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of California and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Urban Studies from the City University of New York – Hunter College. Her knowledge of diversity, inclusion and equity as well as the adult learning process was enhanced during her successful completion of Peace Corps service. Lisa is rooted in her faith, the importance of family, and passion to support individuals reach their full potential. As individuals rise, so too does community.
