Mr. Toner is President/Owner of James Tool Machine & Engineering, Inc. of Morganton, NC.  James Tool provides engineering and precision machining for Fortune 1000 companies in 23 US states, Mexico, Europe and Asia.  Mr. Toner is a serial entrepreneur having started multiple companies in the United States.  The most recent start-up is located in Samutprakarn, Thailand.  Mr. Toner has traveled extensively throughout Asia and chose Thailand to be his company’s first international start-up.

Mr. Toner attended Henry Ford College in Dearborn, Michigan, majoring in Manufacturing Engineering.  He has been in the precision machining field since he was 14 years old, working side by side with his father and mentor, Mr. James “Bud” Toner.

When not traveling to support his various businesses, he enjoys time with his wife, Laura, his two grown children, Brock and Ally, and his close friends.

Mr. Toner is a member of Summit Community Church.  He has been a past board member of Burke United Christian Ministries (BUCM) and his company continues to support BUCM through a payroll matching program and various donation drives.

Being a business owner who is attempting to find qualified employees, Mr. Toner knows first hand the negative impact that a lack of skilled employees has on a business.

With Mr. Toner being hands-on and on the front line of multiple for profit businesses, he can bring a unique insight into what skills employers actually need in their diverse workforce.
