Adia Caviness is joining us this fall as a communications intern from NC State University where she will be graduating this June with a B.A in Communications – Public Relations and a B.A. in International Studies – Global Relations. Her hometown is Ramsuer, North Carolina which is part of the greater Randolph county community. She has deep roots in her home community but has fully integrated into the Raleigh area as a vibrant student. As a student at NCSU, she has become an impressive member of the NCSU Scholars Program, studied abroad at the University of Botswana, and has worked in the field of higher education through the Honors & Scholas Village. Adia has also been a leadership and civic engagement ambassador for the NCSU Office of Leadership and Civic Engagement and continues to be a GLBTQ+ Advocate and guest columnist for the NC State Newspaper, The Technician. Adia will be a communication intern this semester as she seeks to improve her writing and nonprofit management skills.
