The myFutureNC 2021 Year in Review

This year marks a critical year in myFutureNC’s journey. The urgent need to increase educational attainment across North Carolina is both an economic development concern and an educational equity opportunity for our great state.

The work of myFutureNC combines actionable data tools and information to aid in decision making at the state and local levels. At a time when it can be particularly difficult to stay connected, our efforts have expanded to include meaningful engagement across 86 counties in North Carolina, where we are supporting communities to implement and spread practices that accelerate educational outcomes and catalyze action by building awareness, and convening, engaging, and equipping stakeholders.

For the highlights of this year’s accomplishments, view our 2021 in Review.

I am most inspired by how our partners responded together, preserved and accomplished many things that will continue to have a significant, positive impact on the learners of all ages in our state and thankful for the tireless dedication of the myFutureNC team.

As we begin 2022, we are excited to announce the newest members of the myFutureNC team. Please join me in welcoming Jessica Swencki as our deputy director responsible for operations, and Mitchell Whitley as our executive assistant.

I am grateful for the broad-based support from our board members, commissioners, private foundations, the corporate community, state and local leaders, and policymakers. With your support, together, we will ensure the realization of this shared vision for attainment.
